Doctor Pet is an organisation providing animal assisted activities, therapy and education in England and Wales. Registration No.6931605.
Our objectives are:
1. To act as a resource for young people by providing advice and organising programmes of physical, educational and other animal assisted activities as a means of:
advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, loving and responsible individuals;
providing recreational and leisure time animal assisted activities in the interests of social welfare for people
2. To assist in the treatment and care of persons suffering from mental or physical illness of any description or in need of rehabilitation as a result of such illness, by providing animal assisted therapy and visits to hospitals, residential and private homes, hospices and similar institutions.
3. To advance the education of the public in general on the subject of animal-human bond to promote research for the public benefit in all aspects and to publish the useful results.
4. To establish partnership with charitable trusts, associations or institutions to achieve all our objects. |
